3 Months Already!

He actually took a nap in his car seat. Very unusual...

This is his new thing. I noticed that he was holding on to his burp rags and blankets, so I gave him this "snuggly". He loves it! He holds it against his face when he sleeps.

Wow! Price is 3 months old today, and I can't believe it. He is growing and changing so fast. It seems like he crosses a new milestone every day. Tuesday we went for his first set of shots (yes, I know they are supposed to get them at 2 months-don't ask). He was a trooper! In fact I cried more than he did. I made Chance hold him, and I tried not to watch, but when I heard him cry my heart just sank. Knowing your child is in pain is one of the worst feelings in the world. Anyway, he cried for just a sec and then it was over. He did run a little fever and was tired and cranky that afternoon, but all was well the next morning. As far as changes go, it's something new every day. He smiles at almost everyone, and he "talks" a lot (especially to Chance). Sunday night I had to step out of the church service because he was "cooing" and "gooing" so loudly. Afterwards, I got in trouble by all the women who sat around us for taking him out, because they were enjoying it so much. He is also doing really well with sleep. Last night he went 10 hours! We were so excited. I wish I could say the same about his naps during the day. Apparently, he doesn't think he needs daytime sleep. That may change next week though. We have decided it's time for a babysitter. As most of you probably know Price has been coming to work with me since I came back from maternity leave. It's been so great having him with me, and I am so fortunate to have a job that allows this. He's getting bigger though, and needs more interaction and less sleep, so it's time. It's going to be so hard on me to have to leave him, but hopefully it's only for a few months and then I can stay home with him. My plan is to start doing hair part-time at the beginning of next year. So we shall see how all that goes. I will try to post something again soon. Hope you are all well!

Phillip's Party

Saturday night Chance and I went out for our friend Phillip's going away party. He's being deployed to Iraq in a few days. Price stayed with Aunt Karen, Uncle Randall, and cousins Lauren, Alec, and Claire. I think he had a really good time (mostly sleeping). It was great to get together with everyone and wish Phillip well! We are proud of him and what he is doing to serve his country. Come home safe Phillip! We will see you soon!

He's Starting to Make Noises!

This was done a while back, but I am just now figuring out how to post video. It looks a little like a scene from The Blair Witch Project, but Chance was rocking him in his room so it was dark. Anyway, he does eventually make some noises.

Ok...Kara is taking over the blog. Chance just wasn't cutting it! First, I am adding some new pictures. Price has grown and changed so much over the last 2 1/2 months. He is smiling a lot, talking lots of jibberish, and I have caught him sucking his thumb a time or two. I know that the thumb sucking is not good, but it's really cute right now, so I don't care. We went for his two month check up last week and everything was good. He weighed in at 12 lbs, 12 oz. (80th percentile), he was 24.25 inches long (95th percentile), and his head was 16 inches (80th percentile). We have yet to get his shots though, because I am the loser parent who forgot they don't give them at the doctor's office, and we have to go to the health clinic instead. They are so busy there with school starting, that they can't get him in until the 19th.

Last weekend was full of "first's". Price slept through the night-from 11pm to 7am!!! It was amazing! He's been doing that most nights since. It feels so good to get a decent amount of sleep again. He and I also had our first alone trip to Wal-Mart. I know that might sound simple, but I felt very capable when it turned out to be a success. At one point he got fussy and I even managed to carry him, push the cart, and put groceries in the basket all at the same time. What can I say? I am a first-timer, so all the little things are big accomplishments. He also spent his first Sunday in the nursery without us. He got fussy during church so I took him out and decided to try letting him stay there. He slept the whole time....
