So today is the big day at last. They woke Kara up really early to start the induction process. The Dr. came in and said he was surprized at how she had progressed which was great news. Since then she is having lots of contractions and is in a little bit of pain so they gave her some pain medication. She is a little sleepy and trying to get some rest because she didn't sleep at all last night. That's it for now.... I will post more as there shall be more news to come!
So today we are beginning the new journey of Parenthood. It is Wednesday, May 21st 2008 and we just checked into the hospital. The baby is very active right now and we can hear it all on the monitors. We are very excited to see him! We have spent the whole day getting ready. Kara worked like crazy to get the house ready and the nursery cleaned and I washed the car and learned how to put a car seat in for the first time. After all that was done we went out to eat at our favorite Japanese restaurant "Shogun" I had Hibachi chicken and Kara had the Hibachi Shrimp. It was wonderful. When we first got to the hospital there were so many people here having babies they made us wait for an hour before we got a room. The nurse said they had 3 people scheduled for inductions and 2 walk ins and several other babies had just been delivered right before we got here so they are very busy. We are now in the room where the baby will be delivered and they started Kara's IV. We will let you know what happens tomorrow.
